About

Ebony Bowden is a versatile and energetic journalist with four years' experience in busy national newsrooms. She has worked as a breaking news reporter, entertainment reporter and morning news editor, and works seamlessly across radio, video, print and online.

She has reported from the set of a reality television series in the South African jungle to rallies on the streets of Kuala Lumpur. In 2018, she won a Quill Award for her reporting on road safety.

At ease across a wide range of issues including geopolitics, health, sport and culture, Ebony's reporting has frequently appeared on the cover of The Age and The Sydney Morning Herald newspapers, sparking both nationwide and state coverage of political and crime issues.

From Oscar-winning actresses and world-famous musicians to police, city officials, scientists and everyday people, she is comfortable interviewing them all.

Ebony co-created Hard Bargain, a consumer affairs podcast for millennials which ranked in the top four on the Australian iTunes charts.
